It is vitally important in our Christian walk to immerse ourselves in the study of God's word and other Christian texts that will
help us to keep on track in our faith. First Church offers a variety of studies throughout the year that will help keep you in God's word.
Current Short-Term Studies Being Offered
- "Being Christian: A United Methodist Vision for the Christian Life" by Jerry L. Mercer
Meets every Tuesday starting Feb. 8th at 1pm OR 7pm 2005
Basing his reflection on John Wesley's tract, Mercer looks at the Christian life through the lens of Wesley's original catalog of basic virtues—happiness, hope, prayer, love, obedience, etc.—and brings these virtues into dialogue with the views of other writers and thinkers.

Meets every Sunday starting on Feb. 6th at 4:00pm in the conference room of the Parish Center.
